Graduate School of Economics, Faculty of Economics, the University of Tokyo (hereinafter referred to as “the Faculty”) strives to protect personal information based on the policy below.

1. Collection and use of personal Information

The Faculty uses fair means to collect personal information with advance notice of the purpose of use and within the scope of the purpose of use. The Faculty will not use collected personal information for uses other than the intended purpose of use.
Except in cases when prescribed by law, the Faculty will not provide collected personal information to a third party, without the prior consent of the individual(s) involved.

2. Management of personal information

In addition to appropriately managing collected personal information, the Faculty strives to protect this information. The Faculty takes necessary measures in order to prevent the loss, destruction, falsification and leakage of personal information.

3. Disclosure, correction, suspension of use and deletion of personal information

In accordance with the rules and regulations regarding personal information, the Faculty will appropriately handle requests received from individuals for the disclosure, correction, suspension of use or deletion of their personal information collected through the Faculty’s site, once the Faculty has confirmed the individual’s identity.

4. Compliance with laws and other regulations

The Faculty will strictly adhere to laws and regulations regarding the protection of personal information.
