Research Theme
In these five years, my major areas of research are as follows: (a) The principles of decision-making in Japanese firms: The phenomena in the Japanese firms, i.e., lukewarm constitution, decision-making by flight, were analyzed on the basis of decision theory, game theory and computer simulation. We also conducted the international comparative survey on organizational culture of Japanese multinationals. (b) Organizational learning and learning curve: My simulation models of intraorganizational ecology of organizational routines provided some propositions that fall into line with the routine-based organizational learning. (c) Railway management and financing schemes: From a management viewpoint, I researched the financing schemes of major Japanese railway companies when I was a visiting research fellow of Board of Audit, Japan.
