Research Field
History of Economics
Research Theme
My main research theme is, through the inquiry into the origins of economics, to question the position of established economic theories. The research, focusing on Adam Smith, includes that of  "invisible" presumptions of economics, which have come to be regarded as "self-evident" after the establishment of economics; for instance, the relationship between economic theories and government, and the view of desires in them. Especially, I have been focusing on researching the origins and rise of Adam Smith's discovery of the idea "market", and its relevant separation of the economic and the political.
